Unless otherwise noted, the following figures represent activity across FNEC III and all Balance Point funds (excluding CGC Capital, LLC), as of June 30, 2026. Capital commitments represent private capital commitments and committed SBA leverage, as applicable. Capital deployed/invested figures represent capital invested in portfolio investments, including recycled capital. FNEC III represents a continuation of the First New England Capital (“First New England”) fund family, which operated under the management of Richard Klaffky until 2007. In 2007, Seth Alvord was hired into First New England as a Partner, the principal steward of FNEC III, as part of the succession planning for Mr. Klaffky’s retirement. Mr. Alvord is the primary architect of FNEC III’s investment strategy, focusing the fund’s investments on non-cyclical businesses within the U.S. lower middle market service economy. Mr. Alvord was responsible for raising approximately 70% of FNEC III’s private capital, as well as sourcing and leading the diligence, execution, and disposition of approximately 70% (in number) of FNEC III’s investments. Mr. Alvord is the only current Balance Point partner who serves on the investment committee of FNEC III. Other Balance Point partners are not on the investment committee and are not otherwise involved with FNEC III. The investment committee is comprised of Seth W. Alvord, Richard C. Klaffky, and John L. Ritter, and investment decisions require unanimous approval of the investment committee. Balance Point provides regular and ongoing investment advisory services to FNEC III, including, without limitation, monitoring FNEC III’s portfolio investments, making recommendations for the purchase and sale of FNEC III portfolio investments, and arranging and effecting such purchases or sales. Other investment professionals who are not involved with the affairs of future Balance Point funds were involved with FNEC III’s investments and performance results.
